One of the best spots to take in the breathtaking views of Lake Ontario is Spencer Smith Park. There is a grassy park, winding walkways, a pier, and places to eat. Burlington Beach is another great place with waterfront trails, a park, and a sandy stretch of shoreline to cool off on a hot day.

Explore the five main trails at Bronte Creek Provincial Park that go through serene, lush forests that are great for bird watching. The Royal Botanical Gardens is a lovely green space and the largest botanical garden in Canada. With 27 km of manicured trails and five garden areas, it is a relaxing way to spend time in nature steps from the water. At the private Burlington Golf and Country Club, members can play golf while enjoying magnificent views of Hamilton Harbour.
